South Cerney Gravel (loose tip)

Description

This 20mm South Cerney gravel is ideal for driveways, paths and borders or as ground cover on borders and rockeries. This is a naturally quarried product which may result in slight variations in formation, size, colour or shape. This product is available in either our tonne bags or loose.

South Cerney Gravel is a rounded limestone. It is a cream / buff / yellow / beige even coloured gravel and one of the most popular decorative gravels available.  With it being an limestone it is a softer material and over time it breaks down and slowly binds together therefore it may need topping up a little more regularly than flint based gravels. It compliments red brick houses very well. South Cerney stone is also known as Thames Beige and Oxford Stone and it sometimes incorrectly referred to as Cotswold stone.  Because it is rounded it is an easier and kinder stone than some for walking on in bare feet, or for horses and other animals to walk on or over.
