Installing a gravel board (also known as a ‘kick board) is an important part of a closeboard fence.
A smooth concrete gravel board for use with morticed concrete posts which means they have an additional slot in the gravel board for use with a gravel board two pin cleat. The cleat slots in to the morticed concrete post and is bolted to the gravel board. These gravel boards are often used for close boarded and featheredge fencing.
The purpose of a gravel board is to protect the bottom of the feather edge cladding by preventing it from being in ground contact, which stops the bottom of the fence from rotting.

Our Gravel Boards are crafted with a smooth surface to serve as the perfect complement to morticed and recessed posts in fencing installations.
